I searched for "checkcompliance" in PDFX4 2008.joboptions, and there was only one entry, this: I tried Renaming the PDFX4 2008.joboptions file at C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings, but that didnt fix it.
#Adobe application manager download mac quits at 1.4 percent pdf#
Went to a Log in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\Distiller 11Īnd at the bottom, under the date of everytime i tried to launch Distiller, I get this same log:Īdobe PostScript software version: 3018.101ĬID support library initialization completed.Īdobe PDF Settings file read error in PDFX4 2008.joboptions: and we dont want to lose Distiller in our workflow. and use them for Print, at higher options & output qualities than we get from direct PDF output from programs. We have been more pleased with the cutomizations & results from EPS to PDF through Distiller. Distiller has been a part of our workflow forever.and is there any standalone versions of distiller that function just as good as the XI's one?.What is XI's Distiller doing at start up that no other program on my computer is doing?.(I wrote all those myself, so there might be some little path error.(I had to do that like 12 times to get all the information)Ĭ:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\FontsĬ:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Sing Mark IIĬ:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\EQUATIONĭ:\Program Files (x86)\Acrobat\Acrotabt 11\Resources\Font As it flashes on at start up, I've hit ctrl+L and found the list of Font Folders it watches, which may be a cause.the Distiller from 9 doesnt do that, and it just launches. When the Distiller from XI launches, it goes into spastic mode and does all sorts of tests before it launches.and have installed on my system, like GB18030. When installing Acrobat 9 Pro, you get alot of otions for "Installing support for Simplified Chinese Languages", which I use.I think it has to do with one of the following: I Uninstalled XI and Installed Acrobat 9 Pro, and Distiller Worked perfectly My Font Manager has said my Fonts are all Green No program on my system has even the slightest bit of Font problem. Illustrator works Fine, Photoshop works Fine, InDesign Works Fine, Acrobat XI Works Fine Tried Uninstalling & Reinstalling, to No Avail I went to Safe Mode and Deleted all of the System Fonts I could, then I Overwrote the existing ones with a Fresh Set of System Fonts. I Uninstalled all of my Fonts but the System Fonts When i launch Distiller it pops up, then its gone So, I have just downloaded the New Acrobat XI, which I only need for Distiller anyway and have no other use for at all
